Northern Consolidated Airlines was created in 1945 through the merger of 7 small bush airlines. It built up a network in southern Alaska, and added more feeder routes when Alaska Airlines and Pacific Northern Airlines dropped a number in the early 1960s. NCA merged with the other main feeder operator in Alaska, Wien Alaska
